Where's the Golden Ticket?

Merry Old Town Chocolate Bars now on sale for chance to ride on Santa's float.

Veruca Salt, Augustus Gloop and Charlie Bucket were lucky enough to win a golden ticket to enter Charlie's Chocolate Factory in the 1970's classic film.

For the third year in a row, one lucky child in Manassas will win the opportunity to ride on Santa's float during the by receiving a 'Golden Ticket' of their own.

A thousand 'Merry Old Town Chocolate Bars' went on sale November 1 in eight different Old Town Manassas stores, but only one contains the coveted ticket.

Decorated with a green wrapper and a big photo of Santa Claus, each milk chocolate bar costs $3 (tax free) and can be purchased at the following locations:

  • Simply Sweets
  • Manassas Clay
  • Opera Gourmet
  • Dublin of Old Town
  • The Things I Love
  • Echoes - Manassas Museum
  • Manassas Visitor's Center
  • Whimsical Gallerie

The lucky receipient of the Golden Ticket will accompany Santa on his float at the 66th Annual Greater Manassas Christmas Parade being held on December 3.
