DONNA PERKINS SHAW, age 76 on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 with her husband and children by her side at Virginia Medical Center, Arlington, Virginia. Darling wife of Bob Shaw for 45 years, mother of Joey Shaw of Auburn, Alabama and Vicki Joseph of Golden, Colorado; grandmother of Lacey Fuss of Golden, Colorado and Josh Evan Shaw of Auburn, Alabama.
A native of Colorado, Donna had lived on Bull Run Mountain in Haymarket, Virginia for over 40 years. Those who have had the fortune to know her will agree not only was she extremely intelligent, but also the sweetest person who ever lived. She retired after a career of over forty years with Cambridge Realty Investment Trust.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. Her favorite song was Buddy Holly’s “True Love Ways”. The man is in his seventies, he stops to think of her again, she was his greatest treasurer, she stuck with him thru thick and thin, but when she passed away, part of him died too, and one is a lonely number, when it’s been half of two.
