Frances Elizabeth Clark Snead, 79

FRANCES ELIZABETH CLARK SNEAD, age 79, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. 

She was born on July 5, 1934 in Durham, NC to the late Samuel and Mazie (Mann) Clark. She married Henry Glenn Snead on July 4, 1953. Mrs. Snead worked at the blood bank in Chapel Hill, NC drawing blood. She later retired as an Administrative Supervisor from Prince William County Fire/Rescue. Mrs. Snead was a strong and independent woman of faith. She was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. 

She is predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Glenn Snead; sister: Doris Baxley; brother: Hilbert Clark and grandson: Christopher J. Snead. 

Survivors include three children: Debra G. Bates and husband Edward F. Bates, Jr. of Front Royal, VA, Timothy C. Snead and wife Donna R. of Warrenton, VA and Michael K. Snead and wife Carol A. of Manassas, VA; one sister: Linda Mann and husband Terrell of Carrboro, NC; 11 grandchildren: Jennifer Huffman, Jaime McCaw, Jeremy Bates, Jason Bates, Justin Bates, Cynthia Leach, Courtney Snead, William Martin, Jonathon Snead, Michaela Snead and Heather Snead. Also surviving are 13 great grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 2-4 PM and 7-9PM at Woodbine Family Worship Center, 12914 Canova Drive, Manassas, VA 20112 where funeral services will take place on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Pastor John Heddleson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery.
