FRANKLIN CARL HURST, age 74 of Haymarket, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his residence.
Frank was born November 14, 1939 in Loudoun County son of the late Carl Raymond and Cora Belle (Thompson) Hurst. He was employed with Vulcan Material as a plant mechanic for 26 years.
He was also preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Christine Emberton Hurst; five children, John Franklin Hurst and wife Sandy, Joann Delsesto and husband Nick, Sarah Belle Pritchett and husband Simon, Connie Sue Dommer and husband David and Bonnie Lou McIntosh and fiancé Randy; two sisters, Mary Emberton and husband Veachel and Betty May Crawford and husband Kenny; 11 grandchildren, Brad, Ashley, Katie, Crystal, Joey, Junior, Jennifer, David, Desiree, Christina and Matthew; six great grandchildren, Dylan, Raelynn, Anthony, Andrew, Liam and Tyler and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 P.M. Friday, May 23, 2014 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 9:00 A.M. Saturday, May 24, 2014 with Pastor James Bowers officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
