Gerald Tolson, Assistant Chief of Police, NOVA Community College
Tolson previously worked with the Prince William County Fire and Rescue Department, as well as the Prince William County Police Department.
The Northern Virginia Community College College Police Department recently announced the death of Gerald "Gerry" Tolson, the department's assistant chief of police.
The Prince William County Police Department posted on their Facebook page that Tolson died on Nov. 19, after a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and friends.
Tolson's career in public service included working with the Prince William Fire and Rescue Department as well as the Prince William County Police Department, Town of Dumfries Police Department and the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. He also served as the Chief of Police for the Town of Quantico Police Department.
