"Blackfish"

The 2013 documentary "Blackfish" was one of the most amazing films I have ever watched. It was eye opening, captivating, and it never strayed from the topic. What was the topic? SeaWorld and the Orca known as Tilikum or "Tilly" for short. Throughout the documentary I kept asking myself, is this real? is this what really happens after hours? the more I saw the film the more my heart ached to know that the one place I never would have guessed abused their animals actually does. The film reveals shocking footage, actual testimonies from SeaWorld trainers, and it looks into actual Court cases where SeaWorld was sued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration or OSHA for short. The results? were even more surprising. I was in this state of mind that the orcas were in a happy place, but in reality they were not. Lies are uncovered, and the truth is revealed. A lot of the facts presented in Blackfish can actually be proven  accurate either through reading books, personal research etc. I highly recommend this movie, its available on Netflix, and while watching  ask yourselves a question : is captivity the right answer for these animals? and maybe your answer will be like mine.
