Book Talk: Hope Amid Hardship Feb 9

Local author Linda S. Johnston will be speaking about her new book, Hope Amid Hardship: Pioneer Voices from Kansas Territory at 2pm on Sunday, February 9 at the Manassas Museum, 9101 Prince William Street.  The book features pioneer diaries and letters revealing the happy side of pioneer life, along with watercolor illustrations by the author.  Ms. Johnston will also talk about her latest research involving several Virginians who traveled west to the territory in the 1850's.
