You are right, Lauren, and I will disclose that most, if not all, are in local waterways, though various fish markets can often provide substitutes or supplements to those who do not have productive fishing spots. Not that I have ever done that, you know. But if you do, it might be best to leave the fiish out long enough to thaw. My favorite spot is on the Occoquan at dawn, fishing the shoreline with fly-fishing gear. In the evening, just before dusk, I fish the same areas with Texas-rigged purple worms on spinning gear. Exactly where are these spots? That is the question all fishermen and women want to know!
