Accused Walgreens Robber Caught on Tape
Police said the suspect tried to disguise his identity with a surgical mask, but was caught on tape buying the masks moments before the robbery.
Manassas City Police Officers are investigating a robbery that occurred at a local Walgreens Pharmacy after a man wearing a surgical mask entered the store and demanded pills.
Police said it happened at the Walgreen located at 9271 Sudley Road at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, when a white male entered the store and handed the cashier a note demanding the pills.
The suspect covered his identity by wearing a surgical mask, police said, but his plan backfired after police reviewed surveillance footage from a nearby pharmacy that showed the suspect purchasing a package of surgical masks moments before the robbery occurred.
