Armed Robber Demands Medicine, Flees Drugstore With Nothing

Man pulls out handgun at pharmacy counter, according to Prince William County Police.

Prince William County Police has released a security camera image of a suspected armed robber at a Gainesville pharmacy.

At 4:05 p.m Wednesday, the man entered the Gainesville Health Smart at 7963 Heritage Village Plaza and he approached the pharmacy, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

"Once at the counter, the man pulled out a handgun and demanded medications," Perok said in a statement. 

The subject fled the business as additional customers began to enter. He got into a car and left the area. No injuries were reported and no property was taken.  

Police describe the suspect as a white male, between 40 and 50 years of age, 5’7”-5’9”. He was last seen wearing a blue bandana over his face, dark colored coat, blue jeans, and black shoes   

The vehicle is described as a 4-door maroon sedan, possibly a Ford Taurus.
