Victim was also hit in the head with a steering wheel lock, according to Manassas City Police.

Manassas City Police have made an arrest in a March 10 attack where the victim was stabbed and hit in the head with a steering wheel lock.

Alyx Ray Odell, 18, of the 13100 block of Aden Rd, Nokesville, was charged with malicious wounding, according to the Manassas City Police.

According to police, the victim was playing basketball with friends on March 10 in the 8900 block of Cherry Tree Lane. At approximately 5:50 p.m., a group of other teens approached the victim.

"One of the suspects initiated a fight with the victim, during which time the victim was hit in the head with a steering wheel lock and stabbed in the abdomen with a knife," according to an MCPD release.

Police say Odell was arrested earlier this week at the New Directions Alternative Education Center after investigators gathered additional information from witnesses and searched Odell's home.

Odell was held without bond and has a pending court date of April 16, 2014.
