Updated: Autopsy on Body Found in Car Scheduled for Today

Manassas City Police confirm a body was found inside a car late Saturday night in the city.

Updated Monday, 11:30 a.m.

Lt. Brian Larkin with Manassas City Police said the initial results of a Monday autopsy by a local medical examiner's office indicate the death was self-inflicted

He said police continue to follow up on any leads they receive.

Manassas City Police confirm a body was found inside a car late Saturday night in the city.

A family member located the deceased around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of the Manassas Shopping Center and Portner Avenue and called police.  According to police, it appears the death was self-inflicted.

Few details are available, including a cause of death, pending an autopsy later today.
