Babysitter Indicted in Death of Manassas Toddler

Grand jury considered murder charges Monday in 2012 death of 23-month-old.

A grand jury has indicted a Manassas babysitter in connection with the August death of the toddler she was expected to watch, Prince William County Circuit Court documents show.

Jessica Fraraccio, 21, was arrested in mid-March and charged with murder and child abuse after her 23-month-old charge died Aug. 22 at a home on the 9300 block of Birchwood Court in Manassas.

Manassas Police investigators declined to name the victim, give the gender or comment on specific details of the death.

A direct indictment for felony murder was handed down on Monday during grand jury proceedings, which area always held in secret.

Fraraccoio has been in jail since last month and received documents pertaining to the indictment in jail this week.

Indictments are merely allegations against a defendant and do not indicate guilt. 

Felony murder charges carry a maximum penalty of 40 years in jail, Virginia Commonwealth's Attorney Paul Ebert told the Washington Post.
