Blanket, Handgun Stolen in Maury Lane Burglary

Two home burglaries were reported to Manassas police on Saturday and Sunday.

Manassas Police are investigating two burglaries that reportedly happened Saturday or Sunday.

The first incident happened between 12 p.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday on the 9800 block of Maury Lane, Manassas Police reports show.

There were signs of forced entry through a back window, police sad.

A 9mm handgun, its magazine, a cell phone and DVDs were all taken.

The victims said a blanket was also stolen.

Another home burglary, this time on the 8900 block of Portner Avenue, reportedly happened sometime before 5:19 p.m. Sunday.

No items were taken, but there were signs of forced entry through a back door.
