Bricks Stolen From Community Gazebo

Manassas City Police (MCPD) Officers are investigating after bricks were stolen from the Sumner Lake community gazebo on Valentine's Day.

According to MCPD Sgt. Eddie Rivera, officers were called to the 9300 block of Sumner Lake Boulevard on Feb. 14 by a citizen to investigate after 23 bricks from the gazebo's steps went missing. Police said the vandalism incident occurred sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. on the same date.

 The vandalism was estimated at approximately $900.00. The investigation is ongoing.

Road Rage Incident Leads to DUI Arrest

A Manassas man was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence after the victim of a road rage incident followed him home and called police.

Dennis Allen Moon, of 14406 Otis Court, was arrested on Feb. 11. after MCPD officers responded to the 9200 block of Taney Road, regarding a road rage incident that occurred earlier that day in the area of Church Street, near Old Town.

The victim told officers that he was followed to his residence by Moon where they exchanged words before Moon departed the scene. The victim followed Moon to the 9200 block of Taney Road, where he called police.

Further investigation revealed that Moon was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Moon was held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center until he was sober. His court date was set for March 20, 2012.

Narcotics Task Force Busts Georgetown South Man

Members of the Manassas City, Manassas Park and Prince William County Narcotics Task Force have arrested Robert Ellis Robinson after a search warrant was executed at his home in the 9300 block of Taney Road.

Robinson was placed under arrest and charged with distribution of heroin and resisting arrest, according to the police report. 

He was also served with several outstanding warrants for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, eluding and driving revoked.

Robinson is being held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center with no bond, according to police.
