A Bristow man has died from injuries suffered in a Christmas Day vehicle crash in Nokesville, Prince William County Police said on Monday.

Joshua Michael Morrison, 19, died Friday, Jan. 3.

Morrison was attending George Mason University. He was a 2013 graduate of Patriot High School and a standout hitter on the school's baseball team,  multiple media outlets reported.

A police spokesman said emergency officials responded to the 10300 block of Burwell Road at 10:15 p.m. and found the crash scene. An investigation revealed Morrison was traveling alone in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra on Burwell Road when the car left the roadway, struck a tree, then an embankment before striking a second tree, police said.

He wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle.

Alcohol, drugs nor speed were factors in this crash, police said.

A celebration of life for the teen is planned for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Grace Life Community Church at 9560 Linton Hall Road in Bristow.
