Cell Phone Tower Scanner Stolen from Parking Lot of Fast Food Restaurant

The victim said the scanner is of no value to someone who doesn't work for his company.

On Jan. 8, Manassas City Police met with a resident at Taco Bell at 8891 Centreville Rd. about a larceny.  The victim said someone stole a black travel suitcase containing a cell phone tower scanner out of the bed of his pickup truck while it was parked in a parking lot adjacent to the store.

The theft happened between 7 and 7:30 p.m., police said.  The victim told police that the scanner would only be of use to his company and not the average person. It's worth between $5,000 and $10,000.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Manassas Police. The Manassas City Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward up to $1000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. The confidential 24-hour tip line is 703-330-0330.
