Crime Blotter: 13-year-old Accused of Sexually Assaulting Girl, 7

The accused is facing charges, which include two counts of aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties by a child.

Boy, 13, Charged with Aggravated Sexual Battery Against 7-year-old Girl  

Police in Prince William County have charged a 13-year-old Manassas boy for sexually abusing a 7-year-old.

Police said they began investigating back on June 17,  after receiving reports of a sexual assault that occurred in the Sudley area of Manassas (20109).

 The victim, identified as a 7-year-old girl, told family members that the accused, whom she knows, had been abusing her for about a year. The family immediately contacted police and the accused was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties by a child. Court date and bond information was not given

Man, Boy Victims of Strong Armed Robbery

Prince William County Police responded to the 8300 block of Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) for a robbery on Thursday, June 16, shortly before 7 p.m. That’s where police located the victims, a 55-year-old man and a 7-year-old boy. They told police they were in the above location when they were approached by three unknown males, who had surrounded them and demanded money. Two of the assailants were juveniles, according to police, and fled after a brief alteration. Police  were able to locate the suspects and make arrests.

Jermel Tyreen Thompson, 31, of Manassas, was charged with attempted robbery, assault and battery and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

 Two teens, 17 and 14, of Manassas, were also charged with attempted robbery.

 Court date and bond information was not given.

 Five Teens Arrested for Grand Larceny

 Prince William County Police responded to the 7600 block of Stanton Circle in Manassas (20109) for a stolen vehicle report on June 14 at 8:32 a.m.  The owner told police that her vehicle had been stolen sometime during the overnight hours.

The vehicle was equipped with OnStar and was located in Fairfax County where three juveniles were taken into custody by Fairfax County Police.

Prince William County detectives were then able to link one of the juveniles to other grand larceny cases, involving another stolen vehicle, GPS units, iPods and firearms.

As a result of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at 11119 Lightguard Loop in Manassas, where some of the stolen property was recovered and two more arrests were made. The firearm reported stolen in the investigation has also been recovered, police said.

 A 17-year-old Manassas resident has been charged with three counts of grand larceny auto and one count of credit card theft and larceny of a firearm.              

A 16-year-old male of Manassas was charged with one count of grand larceny of an auto and one count of larceny of a firearm. A 16-year-old male, of no fixed address was charged with one count of grand larceny of an auto. The above arrests were from June 14.

Then, on June 16, Travis Samuel Nokes, 18, of Manassas, was charged with one count of grand larceny of an auto, and one count of larceny of a firearm. He’s also facing a possession of marijuana charge. A 16-year-old male of Manassas was also charged with one count of grand larceny of an auto and one count of larceny of a firearm.

Police Investigate Wi Not Stop Burglary

Prince William County Police responded to the WI NOT STOP located at 13660 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) for a burglary  On June 18th at 5 a.m. Employees told  police that the burglary occurred sometime between 12 and 5 a.m. Entry appeared to have been gained through rear door, which had been pried opened. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.
