Crime Blotter: Man Arrested for Soliciting Sex Acts from Minor; Thieves Strike Car Dealership

Prince William County police said they arrested a man accused of soliciting sex acts from a minor after coming in contact with the boy in the area of Rosemary Drive and Sudley Road.

Manassa Arrested for Soliciting Sex Acts from Child

Police in Prince William County have arrested a man accused of soliciting sex from a minor.

Police responded to the area of Rosemary Drive and Sudley Road on September 3 to  investigate the reported child solicitation.

Jose Raul Lopez Zura, age 32, of Alan Court in Manassas, was arrested and has been charged with use of communication device to solicit a minor and solicitation

A preliminary investigation has revealed that Zura had asked the victim, identified as a 12-year-old male of Manassas, to use his phone as he passed the boy on a street in the area above.

Zura was able to obtain the boy's cell number and later that evening called the victim and solicited sexual acts.

Police were called and Zura was located at Shopper’s Food Warehouse where he was arrested without incident. He is being held without bond. Court date unavailable.

 

27 Rims and Tires Stolen from Vehicles at Local Dealership

Police in Prince William County responded to Koon’s of Manassas  at 7105 Sudley Rd in Manassas for a destruction of property call on August 28th at shortly before 9 a.m.

Management told police that sometime in the overnight hours of Aug. 27 an unknown person(s) smashed the passenger side window of seven vehicles parked in a back lot.

All seven vehicles had their tires and rims stolen, totaling 27 rims and 27 tires, according to police. One tire and rim was located in the lot.

Damage to the vehicles totaled around $3,500. The stolen tires and rims valued over $30,000.
