Police in Prince William County have arrested a Manassas man accused of raping a teenager from New Jersey.

Giovanni Alexander Parisi Penaloza, 30, of Manassas, has been arrested and is facing rape and forcible sodomy charges.

Police said they were called to the 9700 block of Loudoun Ave in Manassas (20109) for a report of a sexual assault on Sunday, May 8 just before 3 p.m. The victim, a 17-year-old female from New Jersey, told police she was attending a family gathering at the above location when she had gone to a bedroom at the residence to sleep. She said she was awoken to the accused—a family acquaintance—sexually assaulting her. The victim informed a family member of the incident who then contacted police. Penaloza was arrested without further incident and charged. He is being held without bond.

 Manassas Man Arrested for Aggravated Sexual Battery / Threats to Burn

 Mark Anthony MASTERS, 53, of Manassas, was charged with aggravated sexual battery, domestic assault and battery and threats to burn after he allegedly physically assaulted a 34-year-old woman of Manassas. On May 3rd at 7:45PM, police responded to the 10000 block of King George Dr in Manassas (20109) for the report of the domestic incident. It was reported to police that the victim and  Masters, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation the night before, which had escalated. The woman told polce Masters displayed a knife and  sexually assaulted her. He also threatened to blow up the residence, according to police. He was arrested without incident.  No court date was made available. He is being held without bond.

Second Arrest Made in Armed Robbery of Shotgun

 Police in Prince William County have arrested a second suspect believed responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on March 31 on Juliet Lane in Manassas.

Jamon Deonzie Carter, 19, of Manassas, was arrested on Friday, May 6, for his alleged involvement in the armed robbery of a 21-year-old Manassas man. The victim reported to police  he was attacked by three men, two of which displayed handguns. The victim was relieved of clothing, electronics and a shotgun, and sustained minor injuries, police said. The suspects fled the area in a car. Carter is charged with burglary while armed, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, malicious wounding and grand larceny of a firearm. His court date is set for July 28. He is being held without bond.

 A 20-year-old man from nearby Vienna was also arrested and charged in the case. 

Burglary

On May 4th at 10:40PM, police responded to the 1300 6200 block of Sierra Ct in Manassas (20112) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM on April 26th and 9:00AM on May 4th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry appeared to have been made through one of several unlocked doors. Jewelry valued around $17,000 was reported missing.

Burglary

On May 2nd at 1:30PM, police responded to the 6100 block of Yates Ford Rd in Manassas (20112) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:00PM on May 1st and 12:30PM on May 2nd. Entry appeared to have been gained through a side door, which had been forced opened. Electronics valued around $1,900 were reported missing.

 Attempted Burglary

On May 3rd at 8:33AM, police responded to the 7600 block of Visionary Ct in Manassas (20112) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that an alarm activation went off inside the residence informing her of a rear basement door being opened. It appears the unknown person(s) attempted to force entry through the basement door but was unsuccessful. No entry is believed to have been gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
