Crime Blotter: Visitors' Center Burglarized

Three burglaries occurred in the area recently.

The Manassas City Police Department is investigating three apparently unrelated recent burglaries in the area. 

Sept. 29 or 30: The visitors' center at the Manassas Railroad Depot was burglarized between 10 p.m. on Sept. 29 and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 30. A door might have been unlocked, and police did not find signs of forced entry. The manager reported that a small amount of cash was missing. 

Oct. 1: A resident at a home on the 8600 block of Jackson Avenue reported that a burglary occurred around 9:30 p.m. Police found signs of forced entry at a back door, but not items were reported missing.

Oct. 1: A resident on the 8500 block of Artillery Road reported that a burglar stole a gold necklace. Police did not find any signs of forced entry. The burglary occurred between 4:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
