Police: Victim Encountered Hostile Hit-and-Run Suspect

Manassas City Police Officers are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred in the 9000 block of Center Street at approximately 11:10 a.m. on Aug. 17. The victim told officers he was traveling on Center Street when his vehicle, a 2005 Saturn, was struck by a grey van. The victim also told police he was assaulted by the suspect driver when they both pulled over following the impact.

Police said Tte suspect drove off without exchanging vehicle information with the victim. The suspect was described as a 40 to 50-year-old white male.

Local Antique Shop Burglarized

Manassas City Police Officers responded to White Horse Antiques, located at 9200 Prescott Ave. near the intersection with Route 28, for the report of a larceny. The store owner told officers that between 2  p.m. and 4 p.m. on Aug. 19, 2012, someone(s) broke into his jewelry display case and stole several pieces of jewelry.
