Police in Prince William County are investigating an attempted burglary after a sleeping homeowner was awoken by a man trying to enter her residence.
Police in Prince William County are investigating an attempted burglary after a man tried to enter a woman's residence as she slept.
Police were called to the 14700 block of Kogan Drive (20109) on July 22 shortly before 2 p.m.
The homeowner told police she was sleeping in the basement when she heard a strange noise coming from the exterior basement door. She went to investigate and noticed an unknown man trying to turn the door knob, police said.

The man did not enter the home and no items were reported missing. The homeowner was unable to provide police with a description of the man, according to Prince William County Police Officer Jonathan Perok.
