Manassas City Police is investigating after a woman reported waking up to find a man standing just feet from her bed.

Police were called to the 9600 block of Branchview Court to investigate the report of the home invasion in the early morning hours of September 24.

The victim advised officers that she was asleep and awoke to a subject standing just three feet from the foot of her bed.

Police were told the offender then fled the residence after the victim yelled at him. The victim immediately called police and the residence and surrounding area were searched, but with negative results, police said.

Police are looking for the intruder who was described as a white or Hispanic male, approximately 5’9” tall, with short dark hair. The subject was last seen wearing a light colored golf shirt and jeans.

 

Two Defraud Taxi Driver

Manassas City Police Officers are investigating an incident regarding two males defrauding a taxi driver. It happened shortly before 10 a.m. September 24 when two males had a taxi drive them from Richmond to Manassas, before skipping out on the fare. 

The two asked the driver to stop at the Godwin Avenue 7-11 store before dropping them off at an address on McDowell Commons, police said.

The first male was described as a white male, approximately 5’7” tall, with a light build, who wore two hoop-style lip rings, as well as sleeve style tattoos on his arms.

The second subject was described as a white male, approximately 5’7” tall, with a medium build and tattoos near his elbows.

The total cost of the taxi ride was $247.00. Police are investigating.
