Crime Reports: Car Window Busted While Victim Was Driving and Tire Stolen From a Parked Car

Larceny from Auto

On February 14th, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9700 block of Main St for a report of larceny. According to the reporting party, someone(s) broke into her work vehicle sometime between 6:00PM on February 13th and 6:20AM on February 14th by breaking out the rear window.  Among items reported stolen were an air compressor and generator valued together at $3,300.00.

Larceny of Auto Parts

On February 14, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 8300 block of Buttress Ln for a report of larceny of auto parts.  According to the reporting party, someone(s) stole the passenger side rear tire, valued at $400.00, from her vehicle sometime between 5:00PM on February 13th and 8:00AM on February 14th.

 

Vandalism

On February 9, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a citizen at McDonald’s located at 9003 Centreville Rd for a report of vandalism.  The reporting party told officers that she was driving her vehicle northbound along Prescott Ave approaching the stop sign at Quarry Rd when she heard a pop followed by the sound of her rear window glass shattering behind her.  She continued on to the McDonald’s and contacted Police.  Upon inspecting the glass, officers determined that the impact point on the glass showed characteristics consistent with a small rock or object that might have been tossed from the side of the roadway.  Damage to the victim’s window was estimated at $250.00.

 

Larceny

On February 12, 2014 Manassas City Police responded to 9205 Prince William St for a report of a larceny from an apartment building’s common area.  Surveillance footage showed someone between 5’-10” and 6’-0” wearing khaki-colored pants and a black hooded jacket walking into the complex lobby at approximately 2:08AM on February 12th and leaving with miscellaneous items valued at approximately $200.00.
