Dog Found with Mouth, Legs Taped Recovering from Surgery

Ozzy, a West Highland Terrier, is recovering after being injured during an abduction.

A small dog that was abducted and thrown inside the trunk of a car is recovering and doing well after undergoing surgery to repair injuries suffered during the incident, according to the Prince William Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals's (PWSPCA) Facebook page.

Doctors at the Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice in Manassas performed leg surgery on Ozzy, a West Highland Terrier, on May 16 for about half the cost of the $3,000 surgery, PWSPCA President Melissa Korzuch said.

Donations from volunteers helped pay for the rest of the surgery, Korzuch said.
