Driver Charged After Manassas Man Dies in Single-Car Crash

Jeffrey Scott Davis Jr., of Fairfax, was charged with DUI after a passenger in his vehicle, Roland Donald Reynolds Jr., of Manassas, died.

A Fairfax man faces charges after a passenger in his vehicle died as the result of a single-car crash Thursday, Prince William County Police said. 

Jeffrey Scott Davis Jr., 23, of Englishwood Lane in Fairfax, was charged with driving under the influence and held without bond. 

Police said that Davis was speeding westbound on Yorkshire Lane in the Yorkshire area, when his Chevy S-10 left the roadway, crossed into a ditch and rolled over. The front seat passenger, Roland Donald Reynolds, Jr., 25, of Manassas, was not wearing his seat belt. He was thrown from the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and died at a local hospital.

Davis had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police said that he was under the influence when he was driving, and additional charges are possible. 

Davis' court date is set for Jan. 3.
