Victim Identified in Fatal Wreck in Manassas

Beloved Seton School teacher lost in wreck. Two other family members injured.

A Manassas-area teacher was killed in a crash and two others were injured Wednesday afternoon, according to Prince William county Police.

Sylvester Richard Terza Jr., 81, of Manassas Park, was a latin teacher at Seton School in downtown Manassas.

A message posted Wednesday night on the school's website asks for prayers for the Terza family, including his wife, Teresa Terza, 65, who was reportedly flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital and their daughter, 31, who was taken to Novant Prince William Medical Center. Their injuries are considered non-life-threatening, according to police.

At 1:11 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the area of Williamson Boulevard and Stonehouse Drive.

Sylvester Terza's 1996 Toyota Camry had stopped at a stop sign on Stonehouse Drive. As he was attempting to make a left onto Williamson Boulevard, the vehicle reportedly crossed paths with a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe.

The driver of the Tahoe, a 49-year-old Manassas woman, suffered minor injuries.
