Felony Hit-and-Run Arrest in Manassas

Victim reportedly struck twice by a vehicle, according to Manassas City Police.

A man has been arrested in an afternoon hit and run Thursday, according to Manassas City Police.

Michael P. Denigris, 68, of the 9100 block of Big Springs Loop in Bristow, is charged with felony hit and run. Denigris was granted bond at $2,000.  

Police were contacted by the victim at 12:20 p.m. Thursday. She told officers she was struck twice by a vehicle while she was crossing Brinkley Lane at Center Street in the pedestrian crosswalk.

Officers escorted the victim to the a local hospital, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, Denigris came forward and reported to police that he had been involved in the accident.
