Find Out How A 10 Year-Old’s Facebook Status Saved Her Dad’s Life

This daughter's quick thinking led to the rescue of three men.

Police are crediting a West Virginia girl with saving the lives of her father and two of his friends after she posted a plea for help on Facebook.

During a terrible storm Tuesday a tree fell on Brianna Vance’s house in Henlawson. Her father, Gregory Vance, and two friends were sitting on the porch at the time, ABC News reports.

"I was scared. I needed help. My dad needed help," Brianna told WOWK. Cellphone signal was out due to storm, and Brianna’s house has no landline. Instead, she took to Facebook to post a desperate plea for help.

“The lightning crashed and hit a tree by our porch and my dad’s almost dead,” she says in the video. “He needs an ambulance please. Please call one for us if you have a signal. We live in a yellow house.”

Somebody saw Brianna’s video and called 911. Emergency crews managed to rescue the three men, who were rushed to hospital where they were later released.
