Former Kindergarten Aide Pleads Guilty to Sex Crimes

Former Manassas City Schools Kindergarten aide Stefon Rodney Christian plead guilty to 22 sex crimes Monday after being charged with four counts of forcible sodomy against a juvenile in November.

Stefon Rodney Christian, a former Manassas City schools employee accused of sexual assault,  plead guilty to 22 sex crimes on Monday, according to Manassas City Police.

Prosecutors recommended Christian receive a sentence of 20 to 30  years in prison. He will face sentencing on Sept. 27.

The charges stemmed after person, now an adult, came forward and told police of the assaults, which were said to have occurred between 1993 and 1997 and involved Christian. The victim said he decided to come forward after learning of the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.

Manassas City Police began investigating the alleged assaults. Investigators said since the investigation began in November, they have since been contacted by additional victims alleging sexual abuse by Christian.  The investigation spans nearly three decades and involves minor children, police said. 

As a result of the investigation, a 63-count indictment against Christian was handed down by a Prince William County Grand Jury on March 6. Christian was charged with four counts of Forcible Sodomy Against a Juvenile in November 2011.

Almeta Radford, spokeswoman for Manassas City Public Schools, said Christian was employed with the school system from August of 1981 through September 1999. He began in 1981 as a kindergarten instructional assistant at He later was the library secretary at the school until 1999, she said.
