Gang Knife Attack at Manassas Mall, Two Teens Arrested

Victim stabbed multiple times with pocket knives, according to Prince William County Police.

A Manassas teen is recovering and two other teens are arrested in an alleged gang stabbing at Manassas Mall on Tuesday.

The two teens arrested, one 17 years old and the other 16 years old, both of Manassas, were not identified. They each face charges of malicious wounding, assault & battery and gang participation. A third teen is wanted for malicious wounding, assault & battery, and gang participation.

Police responded to the Sudley Road mall regarding a fight. The victim, 17, told police that was standing outside of the mall, near the food court entrance when he was surrounded by a group of other teens claiming to be from MS13, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

"During the encounter, the group assaulted the victim and slashed him
multiple times to the upper body with pocket knives," Perok stated in a release. "The group dispersed prior to police arriving at the location."

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives from the Gang Unit responded and were able to identify three of the
assailants and apprehend the two suspects now held in the case.
