A man and his two dogs had to be rescued from the icy waters of Lake Manassas on Sunday afternoon, according media reports, including WUSA9.

United States Park Police provided helicopter support to Prince William County Fire and Rescue Department at approximately 3:20 p.m., Park Police official told the station. 

According to the report, the elderly man was stranded after his canoe flooded with water. The helicopter had to be used because the ice and water was too dangerous.
