Man Charged in Check Cashing Store, Gas Station Robberies

Luetenant House Jr., of Manassas, is charged with strong armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and armed robbery.

Prince William County Police have charged a Manassas man in connection with the robberies of a local check cashing store and gas station convenience store. 

Detectives from the Prince William County Robbery Unit, with the assistance of Manassas Park police officers, identified Luetenant House Jr., 22, of Hood Road as the suspect involved in two robberies. The first occurred on the evening of Nov. 29, when a man armed with a knife entered the Super Check Cashing store on Festival Lane and demanded money. He fled on foot. 

Police said House struck again at the Super Check Cashing on Friday, when he allegedly entered the business and tried to kick open an interior office door. He did not use a weapon. 

That same day, police responded to the Shell Convenience store at 7025 Sudley Rd. in Manassas, where employees reported a robbery. They said that the man had approached the counter to make a purchase, then when the cashier opened the register, the man grabbed an undisclosed amount of money. He fled on foot. 

House is charged with strong armed robbery in relation to Friday's incident at the Shell convenience store, attempted armed robbery for the incident at the Super Check Cashing that same day.  He is charged with armed robbery for the Nov. 29 incident. He is held without bond at the county jail pending March 4 and March 20 court appearances.
