Man Stabs, Slashes Two People in Gainesville Brawl

The victims are expected to survive their injuries, Prince William County Police said.

A fight between two men on Sunday became increasingly complicated and violent when a friend of one of the men got involved, Prince William County Police reports show.

It happened around 1 a.m. at a house on the 7300 block of Old Carolina Road in Gainesville when the suspect, a 21-year-old Manassas man, and a 22-year-old man got in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation, investigators said.

Then a third person, a friend of the victim's, got involved in the fight. That's when the suspect pulled out a knife and slashed the victim in the forehead and arm and stabbed his friend in the chest, police said.
