Man Suspected of Distributing Child Porn

Joseph Duffy Phillips, of Manassas, has been arrested and charged after authorities issued a search warrant at his residence January 12.

Manassas City Police, along with other law enforcement officials, have issued a search warrant at the Manassas home of Joseph Duffy Phillips as part of a three- month-long investigation into the distribution of child pornography over the internet.

According to Manassas City Sergeant Eddie Rivera, on the morning of January 12, Manassas City Police investigators, members of the Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and FBI investigators executed a search warrant at 10070 Field Court in Manassas as part of the investigation. 

Numerous items were removed from the residence, Rivera said.

Joseph Duffy Phillips, 34, of the same address, has been identified as a suspect in the case, police said.

He was arrested on January 17, and charged with possession and distribution of child pornography and held on a $10,000 bond. A court date is pending in Prince William County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
