A Bristow man is in police custody after he allegedly used a tractor-trailer to destroy several vehicles and attempted to run over a bystander that was watching it all happen.

Ronald Lee Frame Jr., of the 9000 block of Falcon Glen Ct., in Bristow, VA was arrested after a brief pursuit Sunday, police said. Police charged Frame with felony destruction of property, attempted aggravated malicious wounding and reckless driving.

Manassas City Police Sergeant Eddie Rivera said Monday that police were called to the center at 9145 Centreville Rd. shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday to investigate a vandalism incident. Police were told by a witness at the scene they had observed a tractor-trailer crash into several vehicles parked at the car care center. That same witness also told police the driver, who police have identified as Frame, then turned the large truck on a bystander when he realized he was being watched.

"The bystander had to jump out of the path of the semi in order not to get struck," Rivera said.

The investigation revealed that approximately five vehicles and a tow truck had been destroyed by the tractor-trailer alleged to have been driven by Frame.  The cost of damages to the vehicles was approximately $170,000. Frame fled the scene but was apprehended after a brief pursuit on Centreville Road, near Fairfax County, police said.
