Man Wakes Up to Find Burglar Stealing TV, DVD Player

Martin Romero, 25, of Manassas City, was charged with burglary and grand larceny, police said.

A local man woke up on a Saturday morning to find a burglar in his living room, Manassas City Police said. 

Martin Romero, 25, of Taney Road in the City of Manassas, was charged with burglary and grand larceny. 

The resident of the home on the 10300 block of Abbott Road reported at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, that he found a strange man in his living room. The man, who was apparently trying to steal a TV and DVD player, fled after the resident asked what he was doing there, police said. The resident provided a description of the suspect, and police found Romero walking in the neighborhood.

Romero was arrested and brought to the adult detention center. He will appear in court on Jan. 8.
