A 22-year-old Manassas man is thought to be responsible for a Manassas resident's credit and identity being stolen earlier this month.
Scott Anthony McFadden is accused of breaking into a car parked on O'Connell Court in Manassas and stealing credit cards and other items sometime between Sept. 6 and Sept. 8, Manassas Police said.
He then used the credit card to make purchases at Walmart and 7-Eleven, investigators said. He faces criminal charges of forgery, credit card theft and identity theft.
Anyone with information about the suspect's whereabouts is asked to call Manassas City Police 703-257-8000 or the desk of Rosi Guyton in the investigative services division at 703-257-8088. He can also be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
