The accused faces additional charges from Prince William County Police.

Prince William County Police have charged a Manassas man with malicious wounding, hit and run resulting in injury, DUI (third offense within 10 years), driving on a revoked license and refusal to submit to a breath test.

Police public information officer Jonathan Perok said that police responded to the 7800 block of Gregory Court on Aug. 4 as 12:32 a.m. for an assault.

"The victim, a 35-year-old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, a known acquaintance, which escalated," said Perok in a release. "During the altercation the accused got into his vehicle and purposely struck the victim. Following the encounter, the accused fled the area."
