Manassas Park Man Arrested in Bar Fight Investigation

A Manassas Park man was taken into custody this month in connection with a bar fight that happened on Dec. 22, Manassas City Police said. 

Misael Alvarez Puentes, 25, of Polk Drive is charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and brandishing.

The incident happened just before 1:30 p.m. at Don Julio Restaurant at 9007 Centreville Rd. 
The victim told police he was sitting at the bar inside the restaurant when a man with a firearm approached him.   Then, two more men approached the victim and  struck him from behind, police said.  A fight ensued, resulting in the victim being transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Puentes was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 9 and is expected to appear in court on the charges in March, Manassas Police said. 

Manassas Police and officers from the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force and the Prince William County Police Department continue to investigate the case. 
No other arrests were reported.
