Manassas Park Man Arrested in Old Town Brawl

Manassas area man arrested, charged following a brawl between two women in Old Town, police said.

A Manassas Park man was arrested Sunday following a brawl between two women in Old Town Manassas, Manssas City Police Sgt. Edwin Rivera said.

Gregory M. Harris of 353 Moseby Court is charged with assault on law enforcement, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and public intoxication, according to a press release issued by Manassas Police.

It happened at 2:05 a.m. when police saw two women arguing.

That's when a they noticed a man grab one of the woman from behind as if he was going to assault her, Rivera said.

A police officer tried to break up the brawl and was assaulted in the process.

Harris was arrested and taken to the Prince William County Adult Detention center and held on a $1,500 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on Jan. 24.
