Teen Charged in Fight That Injured Woman, 40

The victim said she hit her head on a coffee table during the fight, Prince William County Police said.

Prince William County Police arrested a Manassas teen after a verbal altercation escalated to the point of a brawl, according to a PWCPD release.

The 17 year old is charged with malicious wounding. Her name isn't being released because of her age.

Police responded at 2 p.m. Monday to a home on the 12800 block of Canova Drive near Manassas.

There, a 40-year-old woman told police she and the teen had been arguing, but things escalated into a scuffle.

During the fight the victim said she hit her head on a coffee table and fell on the ground. At that point the suspect continued to assault her, the victim told police.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
