Anthony Dwayne Nelson, 24, of Bristow, was charged with abduction and malicious wounding.

A Bristow man is accused of abducting and injuring a Manassas woman, Prince William County Police said Monday.

Anthony Dwayne Nelson, 24, of Bristow, is charged with abduction and malicious wounding.

The victim, a 22-year-old woman who was acquainted with Nelson, told police that she was standing in front of a home in the 8600 block of Placid Lake Court in Bristow when Nelson assaulted her. He then forced her into a vehicle and continued to assault her, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, a public information officer with the Prince William County Police Department.

Nelson then allegedly ordered her into a building in the 2300 block of McClellan Court in Dumfries. The woman, who had minor injuries, was eventually able to contact police, who found Nelson on Wellington Road and arrested him.

Nelson's court date is set for Nov. 29. He was held without bond.
