Manassas-Area Book Store Burglarized, Two Suspects Wanted
The burglars made off with more than $2,000 in stolen goods, Prince William County Police said.
An employee responding to a burglar alarm at a Sudley Road business told police he discovered that two men broke in and took video gaming systems, video games and movies, Prince William County Police reports show.
It happened early Monday morning just before 1:30 at McKay Used Books, located in a shopping plaza across from Manassas Mall.
An employee told police he received a notification that the store's alarm had been triggered and went to the store to investigate. There, he watched surveillance footage of two men breaking the glass on the front door, walking in and helping themselves to the gaming equipment and movies.
The two thieves were long gone before the employee arrived. The stolen goods are valued at $2,070.
One suspect is described as a black man between 18 and 30 with a medium build. He was wearing dark pants, a dark sweatshirt, a baseball cap and dark shoes. The second suspect is also described as a black man between 18 and 30 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark camouflage sweatshirt with a front zipper, a dark shirt, dark pants, dark shoes. He was also carrying a backpack.
