Students Uninjured After Crash Involving School Bus

The driver of a bus from Mayfield Intermediate School was taken to a local hospital after a crash Thursday afternoon.

No students were injured when a Manassas City School bus was involved in a crash Thursday afternoon, according to an email updated from Captain Carl V. Crawford with the Manassas City Police Department.

The bus was carrying students home from Mayfield Intermediate School when the crash occurred at the intersection of Ashton Avenue and Confederate Trail.

There were no injuries to students, but the driver of the bus was transported to Prince William Hospital for a follow up, according to the report.

The principal of Mayfield  was on the scene as another bus showed up to take students to their destination. City officials were notified about the incident.
