Dearious Davis, of Summerduck, faces multiple charges.

Manassas City Police said they used a taser to subdue an intoxicated man who kicked cars and assaulted a driver on a local road.

Dearious Davis, 25, of McMillian Drive in Sumerduck, was charged with felony destruction of property, misdemeanor destruction of property, simple assault and battery, assault and battery of a law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and public intoxication.

Witnesses told police that a man was walking in the roadway on the 9300 block of Taney Road and kicking cars, around 5 p.m. Oct. 19, and that he had assaulted a driver. An officer told Davis—who police described as "agitated and apparently intoxicated"—that he was under arrest. Police said that he resisted arrest and they used a Taser gun to subdue him.
