Pedestrian Dies From Injuries After Hit By Car in Bristow

The driver in the incident faces a traffic offense, according to Prince William County Police.

A man struck by a car in Bristow last week died from his injuries Sunday, according to Prince William County Police.

The victim is 75-year-old James Hong-So Yi of Bristow.

At 9:02 p.m. June 24, Officers responded to the intersection of Sudley Manor Drive and Gentle Shade Drive.

A 2010 Chevrolet Silverado was stopped at a stop sign on Gentle Shade. After a vehicle passed, the driver pulled into the intersection, striking one of two pedestrians attempting to cross the street, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

The driver remained at the scene of the crash and was unharmed. Alcohol, drug use and speed are not factors in this collision, according to Perok. 

Shaun Wesley McNabb, 35, of the 12500 block of Richwood Court in Bristow is charged with reckless driving. He was released on summons when charged Wednesday.
