Police: 7-Eleven Robberies May Be Related

Police in Manassas say they are likely looking for the same suspect in two recent 7-Eleven armed robberies.

The first incident occurred on Thursday, March 1, around 3:30 a.m., when a man described as a black male in his mid-to-late 20s armed with a weapon entered a , located at 10299 Dumfries Rd., and demanded cash.

Police said the suspect, who was captured by the store's surveillance video (see attached photos), was able to flee in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 – 30 years old, who was wearing a black ski mask, blue jeans, royal blue shirt, black and grey hooded jacket and black sneakers at the time of the incident.

A second armed robbery occurred at a second 7-Eleven store on Dumfries Road on Friday, March 23, police said.

Police said a man walked into the 7-11 store, located at 10438 Dumfries Road shortly before 3:30 a.m. and demanded money. The suspect also demanded cartons of cigarettes before ordering the clerk to lie on the floor, police said.

The suspect then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, in an unknown direction of travel.

The suspect was described as a black male, 20 to 25-years-old, approximately 5-feet-eight-inches-tall, 170 – 190 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, black jeans, black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery, police said.

No surveillance images are currently available from the second incident, but it was reported to police the suspect displayed what appeared to be a BB gun during the incident.

Police said it is likely they are looking for the same person in connection with the recent armed robberies.
