Police Arrest Man Accused of Raping, Abducting Gainesville Woman

The suspect is from Virginia Beach and was arrested Wednesday, according to Prince William County Police.

A Virginia Beach man accused of raping a Gainesville woman was arrested this week and transported back to Prince William County to face a judge, according to Prince William County Police.

Virginia Beach Police arrested Roy the Nguyen, 37, on Wednesday. He is charged with rape, abduction with intent to defile and forcible sodomy, police reports show. 

The crime reportedly happened Tuesday on the 14400 block of Clubhouse Road in Gainesville, according to police.

The 26-year-old victim told police the suspect, someone she knew, came to her home with a gun and raped her. He then forced her into a car and drove her to unknown location, according to police reports.

The victim said she was eventually able to convince her attacker to take her home.

Police obtained arrest warrants for Nguyen after an investigation. 

Bond and court information wasn't immediately available.
